A proud alumnus, he is former Chairman of The Oxford and Cambridge Society and a co-founder of the University of Oxford Deep-Tech Dispute Resolution Lab. He also serves as a Visiting Fellow and an avid member of the community. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appointed Mark as an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in her 2013 Birthday Honours List for his efforts in strengthening relations between the UK and the UAE. His legal acumen has also been recognised by The Law Society of England and Wales, having been shortlisted for both the UK’s Solicitor of the Year (In-House) and Legal Personality of the Year.
